A hobbyist game dev and a game design student.
Tom Hermans is a Dutch hobbyist game developer and a second year game design student. Getting a game addiction as early as a four year old, it’s a unbroken thread hanging through his life, and it’s the same story with game design: from marker-scribbled mazes and board games, to full-blown digital platformers, puzzle games, as well as more experimental games. He’s a long-time Nintendo fan, and loves indie games more than anything else. He loves designing puzzles, user interfaces, and learning about the psychology of play. Game Maker Studio is his tool of choice, but you can also see him writing websites and making all kinds of other things.

Awards & Recognition
- "Mixing Picross and Sokoban, [Tom's] browser game Picross Pushers was love at first sight for my puzzling predilection."
- John Polson, indiegames.com
- "See, while you’re able to jump as much as you want, this seemingly overpowered ability does comce (sic) at a cost: jumping once activates/deactivates purple spikes, twice triggers yellow, triple jumps flick the orange switch, and so on. It’s a clever twist, and one that makes an otherwise generic platformer quite entertaining, not to mention bloody difficult."
- Peter Christiansen, Wraithkal's indie corner
